Go to task manager - details - find bannerlord.exe (something like that) - right click on it - end task. This should solve the problem. It does not. I can close it in the Task Manager and Steam still thinks it's running. Ran into that issue. It’s trying to report the crash issues instead of closing.
Try following these steps. Steam > Library > Bannerlord > Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files, then go up one level and delete the Bannerlord directory. However you'll still need to uninstall through the steam software, otherwise the software won't let you re-download the game, because it will believe its already installed.
Step 2: Inside that Module folder is an xml called Submodule.xml, delete that. Step 3: Run Launcher again and see if it pops up. Step 4: If it does, Good!!! Just place all you Mods (even the one that supposedly messed it up in the first place), and you are good to go! If not , I got nothing for ya! sefros.
Crashing told me to verify, I verified, it said 3 files were corrupted but now the game just says "resume" instead of play, and when I click it just automatically goes back to "resume" as if I stopped the download.
1. Steam > right click M&B Bannerlord & select 'properties' > go to 'Local Files' > click on Browse local files. (I made a new folder to backup the modules in, but you don't have to, it's up to you) 2. Go to the Modules folder, hold control and select all the custom mods and either delete or cut (CTRL + X and paste them into the folder you made

Just fixed it. One of the patches must have changed this for some reason. Go to Documents > Mount and Blade II Bannerlord > Configs and open the engine_config file in notepad. Scroll down to "Disable sound = 1" and change the 1 to 0. Save and the sound should work. genius ! that has solved it lol thanks so much.
That file is in Documents\\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\\Configs\\LauncherData.xml Keep a copy of that file just in case, that way you can easily restore the order if there is an issue. Aragas
Title sums it up, I can load into the game fine, but when I try to load specific saves the client just drops the loading screen and an "Application Crash" box pops up. I tried validating files and restarting but nothing works. Other saves work, but my two latest; the automatic and a manual save, both CTD. The only theory I have is that when I saved I was inside a lords hall that I bribed my
